About the ACF

The Alaska Chess Federation was founded in 2024. Our founding Board of Directors recognized the need for an active USCF State Chapter Affiliate to serve as the leading organization to organize, promote, and grow chess in Alaska. 

Our founding Officers are located in Anchorage, but many of our Board Members are located throughout Alaska. With such a large state, it is important to us to have representation from as many areas as possible to ensure that we are catering to chess players everywhere- those on and off the road system.

The ACF is committed to coordinating with chess clubs and players across the state to promote individual efforts as well as holding ACF sponsored tournaments, including the annual Alaska State Championship.
